Mary & Lachlan

I’ve been a little bit of a hermit lately as I’ve been editing away at the last of the weddings for this season… oh… and I’ve been working on another little photographic project which I’ll let you all in on shortly.

In the meantime I really wanted to share this session with Mary and Lachlan we did in The Royal Botanical Gardens in Sydney.  Despite the torrential downpour it was a very special day for the two of them as they exchanged vows in the intimate company of just each other.  So, out I headed with a umbrellas in one hand and cameras in the other… a very tricky balancing act might I add!  Mary and Lachlan were happy to get a little bit wet and it clearly didn’t put a dampener on the photos anyway.  There were lots and lots of laughs as every now and then the rain would suddenly pick up again and drench us all…. nothing that a hot shower couldn’t fix.

If Mary and Lachlan can still have a blast in that weather they can be happy anywhere.  They are destined for a very happy future together.

Best of luck.

Amber & Jason

Amber and Jason have such a good story of how they got together… I think someone should make a movie about it!  During their wedding ceremony we heard in their own beautiful words how they got together.   They met years and years ago and clicked but life for both of them took its twists and turns and they ended up in different places and with different people… all the while they often thought about one another, where were they? and how had their life turned out? After not having seen each other for many years they crossed paths again and now here they are today…together.  Seriously! They are meant to be!

I had such a blast photographing their garden cocktail wedding in the hills of Wollongong on a beautiful autumn day! And although the wedding was right in the middle of Amber’s teaching degree exams she still managed to pull together so many fabulous little details like the doily wrapped jars of flowers, pretty cream candelabras, a typewriter guestbook and a lovely display of many of the families old wedding photos.  Amber wore the most amazing vintage dress from the 70′s which I just can’t stop raving about… so so pretty… although I’m fairly sure Amber would look fabulous in a paper bag.  Great catch Jason, and you scrubbed up super well too!:) Your relaxed natures made my job very easy :0

Thanks again Jason and Amber! You guys are going to have a very awesome future together.

Samantha & David

Berry Wedding Photography

Everyone loves a man in uniform… but ladies you’re too late for this handsome sailor… David and Samantha got hitched on a very fine day in Berry a few weeks ago.  Sam looked absolutely divine in a long white fitted gown with gathered detailing at the waist.  It’s hard to believe Sam had a baby boy just last year, she looks super svelt!   I think it was such a nice idea that Sam and David chose all of their brothers and sisters to make up their bridal party.  Sam was accompanied by her three sisters and her sister in-law looking lovely in vintage inspired mint dresses with lace detail at the bust and David had his brother and his brother in-law as his groomsmen dressed in cream suits.   Sam also crafted all the flowers and table decorations herself and they came together beautifully!!

Thank you David and Sam and your lovely families and friends for allowing me to be a part of your amazing day.  I wish you and your new little man a very happy future together!

Jennifer + Glenn

I had the pleasure of photographing Glenn and Jen’s wedding in Canberra recently and from the moment I met them I knew their wedding day was going to be lovely! Jen is an art teacher and put her creative talents to use by making the most gorgeous vintage inspired wedding details for the church and also for the reception at The National Portrait Gallery in Canberra.  Combined with Glenn’s musical talents the two of them make the perfect team!   Jen looked amazing in her lace detailed ankle length dress which perfectly complemented her three beautiful daughters in their very classy black bridesmaids dresses.  Not to mention Glenn and the boys who scrubbed up super well too.;)

I wish you and your lovely family all the best for a fun and loved up life together.

Krystal & Robert – Engagement Session

I really wanted to share this lovely autumn engagement session I had with Krystal and Rob.

Canberra is so unpredictable lately! I nearly called off this shoot when I woke up in the morning to a very grim looking grey sky… little did I know it was all sunshine and happiness forecast for the afternoon:)

This shoot was a lot of fun and I’m super excited to be photographing their wedding in Wollongong later this year.
